About me
I am an Integrative & Humanistic Psychotherapist based in Dublin
I offer a compassionate, confidential space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings and what prompted them to seek psychotherapy.
I believe that psychotherapy is for anyone who wants support or help, either in a time of crisis, or otherwise. Many people seek psychotherapy because they are unhappy with their life and wish to make change, or are in a time of transition and feel they would benefit from support.
Psychotherapy can help develop your personal growth, self- confidence and improve your sense of well-being.
With over 30 years of experience in nursing & healthcare leadership with expertise in palliative and end of life care, chronic disease management, and health education, I bring deep insight into the emotional challenges that often accompany physical or life-stage transitions.
My work is rooted in respect, authenticity, and the belief that lasting change happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship.
I hold a Master’s degree in Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy and have completed extensive training in grief & loss, motivational interviewing, group facilitation, couples therapy, empowerment when living with chronic health.
Individual Therapy:
I work with individuals (adults & young people) & facing a range of difficulties, including:
Trauma and Recovery
Grief and loss
Anxiety, depression, and existential concerns
Managing acute or chronic health illness and life transitions
Relationships, connecting to self and others
Issues with self - esteem, self identity, shame, guilt
Struggling with autonomy and a sense of self
Victims & Survivors of Abuse
When working with my clients, I draw on a range of approaches including psychodynamic, existential, and emotionally focused therapy to adapt to their needs. Whether navigating the effects of trauma or abuse, life changing events, grief and loss, struggling with self-worth or feeling stuck in old patterns, psychotherapy can help you understand yourself more fully and reclaim your sense of agency and autonomy.
Couples Therapy:
When I work with couples, I focus on building a connection with both partners. I see each person as bringing their own life experiences into the relationship, and these often shape the difficulties that arise.
Many couples come to therapy because they feel stuck in patterns of conflict or find it hard to really hear each other when things get tough. I believe that trust, communication and respect are at the heart of every relationship. In our sessions, I provide a safe and supportive space where both partners feel seen & heard. Together, we can explore challenges such as communication, trust, fidelity & affairs, parenting, sexual and intimacy issues, conflict and managing having different needs or wants.
I draw on a range of approaches and ideas to support couples in finding new ways of relating, so they can move forward with greater understanding, connection, and resilience in their relationship.
Working with Groups:
I have extensive experience facilitating group work across clinical, educational, and leadership settings. For many years, I led a Leadership Programme focused on empowering & supporting professionals in their personal and professional development. I have also facilitated reflective practice and clinical supervision groups for healthcare professionals and educational groups for individuals living with diabetes, creating safe, reflective spaces to share, learn, and grow.
Building on this foundation, I am now working therapeutically with groups, bringing together my skills in group facilitation, psychological insight, and trauma-informed care to support people in connecting with themselves and others in a meaningful, therapeutic space.
